Due to the Arlington City Council’s recent vote to weaken protections under the city’s Anti-Discrimination Ordinance, Arlington Pride will be canceled for 2026. This decision was not made lightly, but as a direct response to actions that undermine the safety, inclusion, and dignity of the LGBTQ+ community. When equality is challenged at the local level, we must prioritize the well-being of our community above celebration.
